The Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau, its Board of Directors and staff honored Jerry DuPhily, publisher of Out & About Magazine for 30-years of informing and entertaining residents and visitors in Delaware.

Launched in 1988 as a monthly variety magazine Out & About has expanded today to include social networking, a weekly newsletter, and website with events calendar.

DuPhily’s leadership with the magazine and his role with Event Allies has brought thousands of people and dollars to New Castle County through events such as the Wilmington Grand Prix, Delaware Gran Fondo, City Restaurant Week, Brandywine Valley Restaurant Week, the River Towns Ride & Festival, and City Loop Series, a release stated.

Sarah Willoughby, executive director of the Greater Wilmington Convention & Visitors Bureau says “Jerry DuPhily gets it. He understands people and how to communicate with and entertain them. He has been a most valuable resource to the CVB throughout my tenure and beyond and we congratulate him on this impressive milestone.”

The achievement has also been recognized by the Governor’s Office, the Delaware State House of Representatives and the Wilmington Mayor’s Office.
