Fire companies from three states fought abuilding blaze north of Elkton on Friday.
Singerly Fire Co., Elkton; Aetna, Newark; and North East and Charlestown fire companies were called to the scene of the fire at 955 Blue Ball Road at about 5 p.m. on Friday, according to a Singerly release.
Explosions were heard in the 50 by 75-foot building as the roof collapsed on the structure.
Tanker trucks from Maryland and Pennsylvania fire companies were brought to the scene to fight the blaze.
Firefighters were on the scene for four hours. The Maryland Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the fire.
Singerly reported one injury that was treated at the scene.
Certified Seal Co., a sweeping and paving company, confirmed the business suffered damage in the blaze in a social media post.
