The Delaware Small Business Chamber announced two winners who will be honored at its Blue Ribbon Awards Brunch at the Deerfield County Cub on April 12 from 10:30 a.m until 1 p.m.
The Lifetime Achievement Award to Jayne Armstrong and the President’s Award for Business Excellence to SoDel Concepts Restaurant Group.
Armstrong, the former Small Business Administration State Director for Delaware now holds the same post in Iowa. She is credited with growing the presence of the SBA in the state. The agency that offers federally guaranteed loans had been a branch operation over the years.
The President’s Award for Business Excellence will go to the SoDel Concepts Restaurant Group, Rehoboth Beach. SoDel was founded by the late Matt Haley and now operates more than a half dozen restaurants and related operations in coastal Sussex County.
Winners will be announced in 22 categories.
