Wheeler Wolfenden and Dwares, CPAs, Pike Creek, announced the creation of the Wheeler Wolfenden and Dwares, CPAs Accounting Scholarship in the Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware.
This endowed scholarship will provide an annual award of $2,000 in perpetuity, beginning in the 2018-2019 academic year. The university will award the scholarship, based on demonstrated financial need, to a local student entering their junior or senior year in the accounting major.
“The firm takes great pride in endowing this scholarship at the University of Delaware, the educational institution that prepared many of our firm’s professionals for their careers in public accounting,” said Dave Wolfenden, managing director of WW&D and UD graduate. “By supporting local students in this top-level accounting program, we will strengthen the profession in Delaware.”
