The former Del Pez restaurant at 76 E.  Main Street will open this spring with a Peruvian focus.

Pachamama features  Peru’s popular spiced rotisserie chicken, along with other offerings from the country’s varied cuisine that comes with Asian and other influences.

Head Chef and General Manager, Juliana Jimenez, has  20 years of experience in Delaware that included ownership of a Wilmington restaurant, according to the Pachamama website.

Pachamama is a fertility goddess in the Inca empire that at one time extended along the western coast of South America, according to the restaurant’s website.

As DelPez, the  Main Street restaurant specialized in upscale Latin fare, with previous owners operating an Italian restaurant at the location.
