Trinity Logistics executive   promotions

Trinity Logistics, a third-party logistics (3PL) company headquartered in Seaford, has announced the promotions of three team members: Amy Proctor, Greg Massey and Hayley Dobson.

Amy Proctor has accepted the role of Vice President of Design Solutions.

After serving four years as the Director of Agent Services, Greg Massey was promoted to Vice President of Trinity Logistics’ Agent Division.

After 15 years with the Delaware Operations and Sales Teams, Hayley Dobson has been promoted to Vice President of Team Operations.

Small Business Administration names regional director

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the appointment of Michelle Christian as SBA Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator, covering Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, the Washington Metro Area, Maryland, and Delaware. A principal of her own law practice, Christian is an experienced small business owner. 

As Administrator for the Mid-Atlantic Region, she is responsible for the delivery and management of SBA’s small business programs, financial assistance, and business development program initiatives throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Christian, who has worked in the private and public sectors throughout her career, is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law and St. John’s University. Before SBA, she also served as a board member of various business and community organizations.

DNREC names Energy & Climate director

The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control   introduced Andrea Kreiner as DNREC’s new director of the Division of Energy & Climate.

Kreiner received her Master of Science degree in resource economics from the University of Rhode Island, and earned, with distinction, a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics and business management specializing in energy economics from Cornell University. She has more than 25 years of experience in the environmental field and has written numerous publications.

Easterseals names welcomes Wren

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore recently welcomed Thomas Wren, of Wilmington, to its Board of Directors.

Wren retired in 2006 after serving as the Treasurer at MBNA America Bank for 11 years. Before joining MBNA, he was the Chief Investment and Funding Officer with Shawmut Bank. Wren currently serves as a board member of Financial Trust. He has served in many positions with Delaware Hospice, Christiana Care Health System and Delaware Community Foundation. He graduated from Rutgers. 

Bancroft Construction promotions

Bancroft Construction Company announced  the promotion of Josh Titter to Sr. Project Manager.

Titer  joined Bancroft in August 2005 as an Assistant Project Manager supporting a wide variety of projects for the Red Clay School District. He was also involved with Lincoln University, MOT Charter School, Newark Charter School, and Sheridan Nissan Used Car Sales Building. 

As a Project Manager, Josh has led the charge at Dover Air Force Base with 19 different projects covering a broad array of project types.

In addition to managing his projects, Josh has been involved with Bancroft’s Business Planning Team and has worked with the Employee Development and Growth team.

Bancroft Construction Company also announced the promotion of Steve Walker to Project Manager.

Walker joined Bancroft in August 2011 as a Superintendent. He was promoted to an Assistant Project Manager in January 2013.  He has worked on dozens of projects, often serving as the Superintendent, Field Manager, and Safety Manager simultaneously. 

Key projects he supervised included the University of Delaware STAR Campus; Governor’s Square III – Lowe’s; and Ashland Research Park.

He is a retired U.S. Navy Operations Specialist who prior to joining Bancroft,  worked at several construction management companies

Whayland Company adds estimator

The management team at the Whayland Company, Laurel, announced the addition of Mark Figgs as the firm’s new senior estimator/project manager.

Davis, Bowen & Friedel adds staff

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF) welcomed several new employees to the Milford office.

Yancey Wetterich brings over 13 years of experience in civil design and is skilled in 11 different types of 2D and 3D CAD programs. He is currently providing site design and CAD services for a variety of commercial and residential projects throughout Delaware.

Brandon Mace, E.I.T. recently joined the firm to assist the engineering department.  He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Mace has successfully completed his Engineering-in-Training exam (E.I.T.) and looks forward to obtaining his Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.

Jason Kehler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University and will assist DBF’s Site Engineering design team with CAD and Sketch- up 3D Modeling.

Delaware Botanic Garden

The Board of Directors and Carla Markell, Chair of the Advisory Council have appointed two new members to the Delaware Botanic Garden (DBG) Advisory Council – LeDee Lickle Wakefield and David C. Doane.  

LeDee Lickle Wakefield, is a native of Wilmington, and the comptroller at The Inn at Montchanin Village and Spa. She is also an event planner.

David C. Doane, CPA, served on the DBG Board and now will join the Advisory Council. David is vice-president of Jefferson, Urian, Doane & Sterner, P.A..

The Board of the Delaware Botanic Gardens (DBG) also announced other new appointments:  Carol McCloud, Vice President; Grant Watchorn, Corporate Treasurer & Board Officer;  and Sally Boswell, Development and Outreach staff.
