Snow began falling in Delaware Saturday night, leading to a couple of inches.
The Delaware Department of Transportation reported plows were on roads throughout the state.
The DEOS system reported snowfall amounts of more than two inches in some areas of northern New Castle County, with lesser amounts to the south and no snow south of Dover.
The storm started out as sleet and rain and became all snow as. the temperature moved toward the freezing mark in northern Delaware.
The storm did lead to slippery conditions in some areas, with some motorists apparently ignoring the conditions. The snow ended around midnight.
Temperatures were rising on Sunday and will lead to snow melting quickly.
Next week, the area could see unseasonably warm temperatures.
