Home sales prices in New Castle County rose slightly and stayed steady in Kent County during January.
The number of days homes for sale dropped sharply in New Castle, a reflection of tighter inventories in some price points.
Figures came from Bright MLS showed that the median sales price for December 2018 was $215,000 in New Castle County compared to $210,000 in January of last year.
The median sales price in Kent County for January was 195,000, identical to January 2017.
Total sales in New Castle County in January were 409, identical to the figure a year earlier. Total sales in Kent County were 143 for January, an increase from 135 a year earlier.
The average number of days homes were on the market fell to 31, compared to 49 in January of 2017.
The average number of days homes were on the market figures in Kent County was 44, down from 54 in January of last year.
Bright is the Multiple Listing Service for a region that once operated had a number of MLSs. Sussex County, DE, which had its own MLS is now part of Bright.
Sussex County figures for January were not immediately available.
