Dawn Career institute, a career education school specializing in the health care and wellness fields, announced its new location near Newark.
Located at 252 Chapman Road in the University Plaza area, the campus opened on Jan. 2
The 25,047-square-foot building features updated classrooms and technology that mirror real-world settings for programs. New Beginnings Spa, operated under the school’s wellness programs, is also in the school space.
“Our goal is to provide an environment that empowers students to achieve their personal and career goals,” said Dawn Career Institute President Michael Glanz. “By moving to this new location in Newark, we are able to offer practical training in industry-modeled classrooms that were designed with students in mind. For the first time, all programs will be housed in one building, enabling our team to better serve our students and improve campus life.”
Dawn Career Institute offers both campus-based and online training, and prepares students for healthcare and wellness careers in six fields: Advanced Esthetician, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Nursing Assistant, and Therapeutic Massage Practitioner.
DCI serves Delaware, southcentral and southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Maryland and New Jersey.
DCI was established in 1976 as Dawn Aeronautics by Hollis C. and Mary-Fran Anglin, along with their 3 children, Cheryl Zapata, and Scott and Stuart Anglin.
This family-owned and operated full-service aviation center provided aircraft sales, maintenance, charters and international flight training. In 1993 the aviation business was sold, and the school changed its focus to the health and wellness fields.
On November 4, 2015, Dawn was sold. It is now owned by Education Evolve, LLC.
