MDRT Foundation awards to Ministry of Caring

The MDRT Foundation has awarded a  $5,000 grant to the Ministry of Caring Inc. to fund the purchase of a box truck to aid in food and donation deliveries.

MDRT Foundation  (Million Dollar Roundtable) is made up of insurance and financial advisors. 

Through its global grants programs, the MDRT Foundation is committed to building stronger families and communities around the globe. This year, the MDRT Foundation will award over $1 million in MDRT member-endorsed grants to more than 200 charitable organizations worldwide.

Representing the MDRT Foundation, Frank Varone, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, presented this grant to the Ministry of Caring on August 30 on the future site of the Village of St. John, which will provide housing for low- and moderate-income seniors.

Established in 1977, the Ministry of Caring provides a range of housing programs and supportive services to people experiencing poverty and homelessness within the city of Wilmington and the surrounding region.

The vehicle will be used to transport food, donated furniture, and additional items to support the low-income men, women, and children served by the Ministry of Caring.
