Wilmington Green Box to open outdoor produce location on Market Street

Wilmington Green Box
will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its outdoor grab-n-go outdoor location on Market Street!

The event will be held  on  August 23 from  4:30  to 5:30 p.m. at 420 N. Market St.

Wilmington Green Box, a Wilmington Placemakers Inc. 501 (c)(3) nonprofit project, is described as an innovative-inclusive food project that provides youth with entrepreneurial training and employment while supplying urban city communities with direct access to healthy goods and produce..

The event will feature  

  • An introduction to the group’s new public green space
  • Remarks from Mayor, Mike Purzycki
  • Sampling and selling fresh pressed juices, fresh fruit salads, and more
  • Showcasing  youth employees and staff  who will managing the daily operations of Wilmington Green Box.
