Glenmede names Cohen chairman of the board

Glenmede, a privately held and independently owned investment and wealth management firm announced that the board elected Rhonda R. Cohen as chairman of the Board of Directors of The Glenmede Trust Company N.A.

Glenmede has an office in Wilmington.

Cohen joined the board in 2008 and serves on the Compensation Committee and the Relationship Oversight Committee.

Cohen succeeds Joseph N. Pew, IV, M.D. who passed away on June 10, 2017. Dr. Pew joined the board in 1988 and became chairman in 2004. Under  Pew’s leadership, the Glenmede board oversaw the expansion of the Trust Company’s Endowment and Foundation practice, development of Glenmede Investment Management LP and expansion of Glenmede into new areas.

Cohen, who practiced law for 20 years and was a former partner in Ballard Spahr LLP, one of the largest law firms in Philadelphia, is an active member in the Philadelphia community. She holds board positions with several organizations, including Delaware Valley Friends School, The Christopher Ludwick Foundation, Visit Philadelphia, ESF Dream Camp Foundation and Swarthmore College. In addition, she currently serves as campaign co-chair for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia.
