Delaware State Police Financial Crimes Unit detectives  arrested a Newark woman  on charges that  she opened a credit card account under the name of a nonprofit organization that preserves and features  a pipe organ housed at a northern Delaware high school.

The investigation began in March  after troopers were contacted by the president of the Dickinson Organ Theater Society.

Upon checking the organization’s bank account, he noticed that someone had opened a credit card account in the organization’s name without his knowledge and had charged  over $62,000.00 worth of goods and services on the card. It was further learned that the president  as well as the organization’s treasurer, Patricia N. Nicholas-Lundy, were listed as the authorized users on the account.

Detectives detrmined  that Nicholas-Lundy, had opened the credit card without the organization’s knowledge and proceeded to make multiple charges that included paying for her wedding.

Nicholas-Lundy would then use the organization’s checking account to make the payments on the card.
