Delaware Tech ranks ninth on list of digital community colleges

Delaware Technical Community College ranked ninth in a list of innovative digital community colleges.
 
Delaware Tech was ranked in the large college category since it has more than 10,000 students Delaware Tech was a pioneer in the use of the Internet in Delaware.
 
Ranking No 1 is Thomas Nelson Community College in the Hampton-Williamsburg area in Virginia. The ranking came from The Center for Digital Education.
 
The  Digital Community Colleges Survey analyzes how community colleges use a range of technologies to improve services to students, faculty, staff and the community at large.  
“This year’s survey indicates community colleges are continuing to improve efforts at creating cost-effective platforms and Open Education Resources, mobile environments, real-time resources, telepresence robots and more to create robust online and mobile environments for their students,” said  Kecia Ray, executive director for the Center for Digital Education.
