TransPerfect co-owner Philip R. Shawe has offered a deal to Elizabeth Elting.

The former couple has been locked in a dispute over control of the New York company that has led to Delaware Chancery Court setting into a motion a forced sale.

According to a release from Shawe, “Elting can name her price for TransPerfect, any price she wants, and Shawe will have the option to buy or sell at the price Elting sets, no conditions.”

The unconventional offer came as Shawe awarded more than $100,000 to the law students who developed the best mock Supreme Court arguments for overturning Delaware Chancellor Andre Bouchard’s order to sell the translation and business service company.

During his keynote address at the New York event,  nationally known attorney Alan Dershowitz, blasted Bouchard and  Supreme Court Chief Justice Leo Strine for supporting the sale.

Shawe also  kicked off a donation drive for four nonprofits  by personally donating $50,000  to the V Foundation for Cancer Research. The other organizations supported were:  Resilience Rising, Ali Forney, and the Key West Film Festival.

New York Giant Jason Pierre-Paul was the Honorary Bailiff presiding over the award ceremony, and greeted guests at the gala, while Snoop Dogg made a surprise appearance and entertained the audience until close.
