DSU to launch Certified Financial Planner program

 Delaware State University’s College of Business will highlight the launch of its Certified Financial Planner Program with a panel discussion event at 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 17 in the Longwood Auditorium, Bank of America Building on the campus.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a 4 p.m. media event to announce the launching of the CFP Board Registered Program at DSU – which will include the establishment of Financial Planning minor as a new undergraduate academic offering. Information will be concerning the curriculum and goals of the new program.

Participating in the panel discussion will be Deborah Owens, a TV One financial expert; Rianka Dorsainvil, founder and president of financial planning firm Your Greatest Contribution; Pamela Capalad, a certified financial planner and founder of Brunch & Budget; Lazetta Rainey Braxton, founder and CEO of Financial Fountains; Christopher S. Smith, advisor with Edward Jones Financial; and Erin Arvedlund, a business and finance journalist with the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a media event to announce the launching of the CFP Board Registered Program at DSU – which will include the establishment of a Financial Planning minor as a new undergraduate academic offering.
