Mile High Steak and Seafood is likely to remain closed.

Owner Chris Lientz had first announced October and November re-opening timeframes after the restaurant in Glen Mills, PA was closed over the summer.

“I have invested everything I own, my heart, soul, blood, sweat and tears into reopening my beloved restaurant. Sadly, things are not going as I hoped. Several obstacles are preventing me from having a definitive future at this point in time,” Lientz posted on the restaurant’s website.  “No final financial decisions have been determined, but the future is looking bleak for Mile High to reopen in the future, if at all.”

Lientz added that “the banks I have worked with for years are no longer supporting my endeavors.”

“At this point, I am trying to work with several other investors that may be interested in purchasing the restaurant. I do not know what the future holds. I am personally and financially in ruins as a result of circumstances that were beyond my control. To all of my loyal customers, I am truly sorry. I never meant to be misleading or deceitful in anyway. All I can do now is tell you where I am, and apologize for the uncertain future,” Lientz wrote.

Lientz also apologized for not responding to inquiries and Emails, citing advice from attorneys and accountants.

Lientz, made no mention of the status of gift cards. Mile High made heavy use of buy one, get one cards that made its upscale steak and seafood offerings far more affordable.
