Cajun Kate’s plans a soft opening at its second location near Wilmington at 722 Philadelphia Pike in Bellefonte.
The announcement was made on the Cajun Kate’s website.
The restaurant will be open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. this weekend, with a grand opening to follow, the notice stated.
Work has been under way since August on the Philadelphia Pike location.
Cajun Kate’s, specializes in Cajun and Creole food and operates a location at the farmers market in Boothwyn, PA, near the Delaware line. That location will remain open.
The Boothwyn location is open two days a week, but has enjoyed a thriving carryout and catering business over the years, even after a brief boom in Cajun restaurants came and went in Delaware County.
The new location will have sit-down dining space. The Boothwyn site had a few stools.
