pondsStephen J. Ferrandi, president and broker of Delaware Land Advisors has been awarded the disposition sale of Milford Ponds, a 717-unit master planned community.

Delaware Land Advisors is   a   land brokerage and strategic consulting firm representing landowners throughout the state has expertise in land brokerage, zoning, conservation, and development, a release stated.

The development was first proposed in 2004 as a 55-plus community connected to Milford utilities.  Milford   has seen an influx of older residents drawn to lower living costs and taxes and has been ranked as one of the fastest-growing areas of the state.

However, a dispute among owners and a slowdown in the housing market has  been part of the history of the development, the Milford Live website reported.

An offering brochure for the site indicted that some preliminary work has been done on the first phase of the project that would consist of single-family detached and townhouses.  No minimum price was reported.
