Drone conference coming to Cape May

drone-over-cape-may-finalOn  Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14,   the 2nd Annual Cape May NJ UAS (Unmanned Aviation Systems)   Drone Conference, will take place at the Cape May Convention Hall.

The conference  will feature a keynote address from U.S. House Aviation Subcommittee Chairman Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ-02) and FAA Senior Advisor Major General (Ret.) Marke ‘Hoot’ Gibson.

The two day conference will also showcase a drone race expo and a world debut drone movie screening. The Cape May NJ UAS Conference is hosted by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA), Cape May County, and the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) – Liberty Chapter.

The DRBA, which operates the Delaware Memorial Bridge, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry and airports, has championed the use of drones. Southern New Jersey has also become a hotbed for drones.

Panel discussions will focus on flying the aircraft legally and safely.
