SoDel Cares, the philanthropic arm of SoDel Concepts, recently donated $4,000 to Georgetown-based Pathways to Success, whose mission is to prepare youth and adults for successful lives.

“SoDel Cares contributes to many local organizations, but I’m particularly proud to donate to Pathways to Success,” said Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts, which owns nine coastal restaurants, Plate Catering, the food truck Big Thunder Roadside Kitchen, and hospitality management and consulting divisions. “Fay Blake, the executive director, is committed to helping young people who want to succeed but need guidance and support.”

The organization’s many activities – including academic mentoring, work-based activities, parent education, leadership skill and career prep – help individuals develop the positive attributes of healthy, productive, contributing and responsible citizens.

For example, Pathways to Success works with at-risk students at Cape Henlopen and Sussex Tech high schools who come from low-income households.
