The Trinity Foundation  and  Seaford-based Trinity Logistics  have presented a donation  Nanticoke Health Services from events held by the company and its foundation.

Nanticoke, in conjunction with the Trinity Foundation, held its 3rd annual Big Pink Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, March 12 at Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown.

Twenty teams, four from Nanticoke, competed in this event with participants showing their support by dressing in pink or themed costumes to help raise funds for Nanticoke Cancer Care Center.

This year’s tournament raised $4,300 to help individuals and families in the community on their cancer journey. “Supporting our local Cancer Care Center and their programs that help right here in our community is something we’re passionate about,” said Amy Proctor, Director of the Trinity Foundation.

The March madness continued on Saturday, March 26, when Trinity Logistics hosted their 6th annual Heart & Sole 5K. Participants young and old plus a few furry friends gathered at Trinity Logistics in Seaford to either walk or run to raise over $9,500, which will be used to purchase two new treadmills for Nanticoke’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department.

On Tuesday, April 26, employees from Trinity Logistics presented Nanticoke Health Services with a check for $13,800 to promote healthy lifestyles and to help raise awareness for cancer and heart disease within the surrounding communities. ”We are proud to support our community,” said Greg Massey. “Heart & Sole and the Big Pink Volleyball tournament have grown over the years, in part because they are incredible events, but also because of the causes they support.”
