Shoestring Solutions for Non-Profits, a female-owned non-profit consulting company is celebrating the end of their first year in business. The business, begun by Lynn Calder and Ellisha Caplan, two non-profit professionals, focuses on helping non-profits with limited staff and/or budgets to meet their goals.
The two looked at the non-profit consulting scene in the area, and saw that many smaller organizations did not have the time or human resources to embark on strategic plans, grant writing and marketing/communications pieces.
Shoestring Solutions works with organizations in crafting development plans, strategic plans and marketing pieces.
The company also is involved with prospect research and grant writing, and fills in gaps for organizations in the midst of staff shortages or vacancies.
