post2Nanticoke Health Services , Seaford, has announced the recipients of the 10th Annual Nanticoke Tributes for Healthcare Leadership.  

The Nanticoke Tributes will honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the provision and improvement of health care in the communities of western Sussex County. The awards will be presented at a dinner and reception on November 13, at the Heritage Shores Clubhouse in Bridgeville.

The Founders Award will be presented to Sharon B. Mears and state Sen. Robert L. Venables, Sr. Mears is being recognized for her dedication and commitment to Nanticoke Health Services as a member of the Quality Professional Affairs Committee and member of the Board of Directors. Additionally, she has also been a longtime volunteer for the hospital as a member of the Nanticoke’s annual Dinner Auction, Golf Tournament and The Look-In Glass Shoppe.

Venables , a lifelong resident of Laurel, is being honored for his service and dedication to the growth and development of Nanticoke Health Services.

The Charles C. Allen, Jr. Philanthropy Award is being awarded to the Seaford Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association. The group has have a lifetime giving amount of over $51,000 and that milestone has been achieved in only 4 years.

The Nanticoke Tribute Awards also recognizes a new inductee into the Nanticoke Physicians Hall of Fame. This award recognizes and honors physicians who have served their communities with dedication and distinction. This year, Dr. Donald T.
