Chesapeake Utilities Corporation  announced that Mark Eisenhower has joined the company as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development.

Eisenhower will play a critical leadership role in the development of the  company’s strategic plan. Specifically, working on converting strategic growth goals into specific business opportunities. In collaboration with other leaders, he will be responsible for facilitating business acquisitions or development projects through the various stages of a transaction including integration into the Company. He will develop and manage the business development pipeline and collaborate with business units on new and existing business opportunities.

“Chesapeake is continuing to build our Strategic Development group to facilitate our investments in business opportunities in both new and existing markets,” said Michael P. McMasters, CEO of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. “Mark is a good fit for our team and his experience and energy expertise will greatly benefit our customers, communities and shareholders.”

Prior to joining  Chesapeake, Eisenhower worked for Pace Global, A Siemens Business, as Vice President and Managing Director. As a member of the senior management team, he provided transaction and support services to a wide range of clients and oversaw sales for Pace Global’s energy consulting and management services.

Early in his career, Eisenhower started a natural gas marketing company affiliated with The Eastern Group. Creating its strategic vision and business plan, sales grew to over $100 million with positive net income each year and Inc. Magazine listed the company as one of America’s fastest growing private companies five years in a row.

Eisenhower next held various positions within Statoil working with the firm during a a climb in sales to $4 billion and spearheaded a subsequent divestiture of the company’s assets. During this time, he created strategic plans and operational strategies and managed the sales and integration of companies and business units as necessary. In 2003, Mr. Eisenhower formed Xebec Ventures, which invested in mid-market companies with growth potential. He grew sales of one company from $10 million to over $25 million in two years.

Eisenhower earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University – Pamplin College of Business, and an Executive Education Program from Duke University – Fuqua School of Business.

Donna Stone joins  Community Foundation

The Delaware Community Foundation continues to grow its presence in southern Delaware with the addition of Donna D. Stone as senior vice president for central Delaware. The new DCF office is in the CenDel Community Building on Loockerman Street in Dover.

Stone served in the Delaware House of Representatives from 1994 to 2008. During that time, she served as the chair of the Economic Development, Banking and Insurance Committee and as a member of the Capital Infrastructure Committee.  Stone served as the president of the National Conference of State Legislatures 2007-2008. She also received several awards from local and national advocacy organizations for her distinguished public service. From 2009 through 2013,  Stone was a branch manager for TD Bank.

Stone is a graduate of Northwestern University and has two adult children. She has served on the board of directors of the American Heart Association, USO Delaware, the Greater Dover Boys & Girls Club and the Friends of the Capitol Theatre. She is currently a member of the Greater Kent Committee.

Yelo joins Blood Bank

Bood Bank of Delmarva (BBD)   announced that  Joseph A. Yelo, joined the organization on March 10, , as Lead Executive for Business and Community Development.

Yelo, most recently the Vice President of Administration & Risk at Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Bethlehem, Pa., has more than 30 years of experience in the blood and transfusion industry.

During his long tenure at Miller-Keystone, Yelo was responsible for the operational responsibility for a community blood service program that included 325 employees, 500 volunteers, Apheresis and Whole Blood Operations, Technical Services, Nursing Services and Donor Recruitment.

“Joe’s industry expertise and experience is a solid compliment to BBD’s overall strategy and  commitment to serve our community and patients, while also contributing to the broader success of  our organization,” said Roy Roper,  CEO of Blood Bank of Delmarva.

Yelo holds a MBA in Management/Health Care Administration from LaSalle University, a BA in Biology from LaSalle and a BS in Medical Technology from Pennsylvania State University.  He also acts as an Advisory Member of the Transfusion Medicine NIH Grant Award Panel of Temple University Hospital and Medical School.

A former member of the Board of Directors of AABB (formerly known as American Association of Blood Banks), America’s Blood Centers, Community Blood Center’s Exchange and the New Jersey Society of Blood Bank Professionals among others, Yelo is also very active in community activities.  He has served as a Past President/Treasurer of the Rotary Club of Allentown, Pa. and is an active volunteer with the PA  Masonic Organization, March of Dimes, American Heart Association and United Way.

Cordasco joins Citizens Bank

Citizens Bank has named Chris Cordasco senior vice president and relationship manager of its Professionals Banking Group, responsible for handling the commercial-banking needs of law firms in the Philadelphia and Wash., D.C. areas. A resident of West Windsor, N.J., Cordasco had served in a similar role for Citi Bank.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Chris’ background be a part of this important growth business for Citizens Bank,” said Daniel K. Fitzpatrick,  CEO of RBS Citizens and Citizens Bank of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. “Chris has worked with law firms for more than a decade bringing a great deal of expertise in the law firm sector.”

For 10 years, Cordasco worked as Senior Vice President and Treasury and Cash Management Sales Officer at Citi Private Bank, following which he became Citi Private Bank’s Senior Vice President and Private Banker for the Law Firm Group in 2011.

 

SVN-Miller advisors attend conference

Brent Miller, Henry Hanna and Wesley Cox, senior advisors with Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate in Salisbury, Md. recently attended the ICSC Mid-Atlantic Conference & Deal Making at the Gaylord National Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.  The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is a  global trade association of the shopping center industry. It is made up of over 60,000 members in over 90 countries.

The event took place last month and included a variety of educational sessions in government relations, operations and  management and more. The second day of the event was entirely focused on deal making.
