New Pilot School coming in 2015

Pilot-School-Front-Elevation-Rendering_510The Pilot School has broken ground on a new campus that will feature improved facilities and energy efficiencies and interactive technology. The school works with language-based learning difficulties, who respond to a multi-sensory approach. Many students who come to Pilot after struggling to learn in traditional classrooms.

“These children have the potential for all-around success,” says Kathleen Craven, Director of Pilot School. “The new campus will allow us to more robustly address the unique educational challenges of each student, develop their strengths, and build self-confidence.”

In the present building at 100 Garden of Eden Road in Talleyville, some of its key rooms — especially the gymnasium, swimming pool, science lab and music room — are now outdated and inefficient. The new site will be about a quarter of a mile from the present location.

The new campus was designed by Cho Benn Holback and Associates of Baltimore and Purple Cherry Architects of Annapolis.
