Saint Francis Healthcare and Mid-Atlantic GI Consultants PA announced a new relationship that will provide better access to physicians and technology.

Mid-Atlantic GI now provides 24-hour on-call coverage for Saint Francis Hospital’s Emergency Department in addition to performing inpatient and outpatient GI consultations and procedures.

The group includes nine board-certified gastroenterologists and two physician’s assistants. Gastroenterologists diagnose and treat aGI conditions, including diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder.

“In our realignment of resources at Saint Francis, we recognized our physicians and their patients needed more convenient access to the broadest possible array of GI services. We reached out to MAGIC and achieved a mutually beneficial agreement that meets the needs of all concerned,” said Brian Dietz, Interim CEO, Saint Francis Healthcare.

“We look forward to collaborating with Saint Francis’ colleagues to extend quality, compassionate care to their patients with GI conditions or diseases,” said Dr. Amy Patrick, who co-founded the practice in 1995 with Dr. Christopher Ruffini.
