Yerrapathruni joins Skanska USA

Skanska USA announced that it has hired Sai Yerrapathruni as senior director of business development for its Greater Philadelphia region.

Yerrapathruni joins the business development team and is responsible for conducting ongoing analyses of the region’s real estate and construction markets to identify opportunities that advance Skanska’s presence throughout Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware.

“Sai brings vast experience from across the industry, and his specialties in higher education, commercial and healthcare touch the construction sectors that Skanska works with regularly in this region,” said Ed Szwarc, executive vice president and general manager for Skanska USA Building’s Greater Philadelphia and Delaware offices. “His experience as both a project manager and engineer coupled with his talent in pursuing growth initiatives, makes him perfect for this role.”

Yerrapathruni brings more than 10 years of experience to Skanska. Prior to joining Skanska, he served as president of Kalgre, a Delaware Valley based start-up construction firm. Previously, he worked for both Turner Construction and Entact Environmental, where he implemented strategic business plans, expanded networks for various construction companies, and managed projects. Baker named ‘7s’ coach

The Delaware 87ers  announced that they have named Rod Baker the first coach in franchise history. Baker brings 35 years of coaching experience   and most recently served as an assistant coach for the Bakersfield Jam.

“We had a long list of worthy candidates interested in coaching the Sevens and are thrilled to have a coach as experienced and successful as Rod join our organization,” said 87ers General Manager Brandon D. Williams. “Rod is a proven winner and is well-versed in developing young players both on and off the court.”

Last season, Baker helped guide the Jam to a franchise best record of 36-14. Prior to joining the Jam, he spent seven seasons as head coach of the Rochester RazorSharks of the Premier Basketball League.

Baker won over 80 percent  of his games with the RazorSharks, compiling a 147-36 mark. He led the team to four championships and was named Coach of the Year three times.

A graduate of Holy Cross, Baker has an extensive college coaching background. He began his career as an assistant at Columbia University and has also coached at Tufts University, Seton Hall, UC Irvine, Cincinnati and Rutgers. The team will play its games at the Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware Newark campus.

Spady, Fulton  join MySherpa

MySherpa, Wilmington, announced the hiring of  J’Nay Spady and Alexandra Fulton as Service Desk Sherpas.

They represent  the company’s first line of defense, addressing and resolving client issues quickly and effectively. Fulton previously worked in IT in the legal field.

MySherpa provides managed computer services to greater Wilmington and southeastern Pennsylvania businesses.

Cole named trustee

Jeffrey M. Cole, D.D.S., M.B.A., who practices dentistry in Wilmington, Del., was recently installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA).  Dr. Cole’s installation took place in New Orleans at the ADA’s 154th Annual Session.

Dr. Cole will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees as the trustee from the Fourth District, which encompasses Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands as well as the Federal Dental Services. The ADA Board formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA’s governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the ADA Board, Dr. Cole will play a major role in the organization’s objective of being America’s leading advocate for oral health.

Dr. Cole has served as an ADA delegate for the past seven years.  He served on the Local Arrangements Committee for the 1993 ADA New Dentist Conference and completed service on the ADA Council on Dental Practice, chairing the economics subcommittee for part of that time.

He is a former president of the Delaware State Dental Society (DSDS), where he was a member of its executive committee for seven years, serving as treasurer for two of those years.

He also is a member of the DSDS Legislative Council and DSDS Budget, Finance, and Audit Committee. Prior to serving on its executive committee, Dr. Cole was chair of the DSDS Ad Hoc Committees on Direct Reimbursement and Amalgam Wastewater, as well as the Local Arrangement and Young Dentist Committees. He is a member of the DSDS editorial board for the state newsletter.

Naini joins Bayhealth practice

Bayhealth announced that Pranitha Naini, MD, has joined Bayhealth Hematology/Oncology Associates.

Dr. Naini recently completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, in Memphis,  Tenn.

“Hematology and oncology is a fascinating field and I am proud to be a part of it. As an oncologist, I have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the cancer patients and their families during their tough times,” said Dr. Naini.

Dr. Naini completed a residency in internal medicine at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, affiliated with Johns Hopkins University, where she served as an attending physician for three years.

Naini also sees patients in the Neuro Oncology Multidisciplinary Clinic at the Bayhealth Cancer Center with neurosurgeon James Mills, M.D., and radiation oncologist Khanh Nguyen, M.D.
