A home and garden business that at one time owned a lawn furniture store in North Wilmington is closing its last store.

Waterloo Gardens is closing its remaining store in Exton. It had earlier filed for bankruptcy protection and had closed its original store in Devon, Pa. and  north Wilmington and Warminster, Pa. locations.

The economic slowdown and a steep downturn in home construction were blamed for the problems that beset the 70-year-old company, which at one time was one of the largest garden centers in the region.
