Kudos – Honors for WSFS, Morning Rotary, Central Delaware Chamber awards

WSFS Financial Corporation, the parent company of WSFS Bank has been presented the annual Gallup Great Workplace Excellence in Leadership Award for the second year in a row.

The Great Workplace Award honors organizations whose associate engagement results demonstrate they have the most productive and engaged workforces in the world.

 Rotary honors

The Newark Morning Rotary presented the Spirit of Business Award to Bill Silva, site manager for the Newark Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites. Silva was honored for his work in training people with disabilities for the workplace. William Sullivan, managing director of the Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware, was named Rotarian of the year by the Morning Rotary.

Central Delaware honors

The Delaware State News was named Corporation of the Year by the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Mary Johnson of Chick Fil A of north Dover was named CDCC Small business person of the year.

Kent County Tourism was named Partnership of the Year for economic development. Johnson, Kent County Tourism and the State News were honored at the chamber’s Excellence Dinner last week.
