The Delaware Attorney General’s office  filed an emergency petition with the Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline against a Dover physician over alleged sexual misconduct against patients.

The Attorney General’s Complaint and Motion for Emergency Suspension alleges that Jerome Abrams, M.D inappropriately touched and fondled five female patients during examinations at Dover Family Physicians in Dover between June, 2005 and May, 2013. It calls on the Delaware Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline to immediately suspend Abrams’ medical license and to schedule a hearing to permanently revoke his license.

The Attorney General’s petition resulted from an investigation conducted by the Delaware Division of Professional Regulation. The case has also been referred to Delaware State Police for a criminal investigation.

The Attorney General’s office understands that Abrams is no longer employed at Dover Family Physicians.
