Dogfish Head wants you to know how to take care of a growler.

The General Assembly approved the use of the 64-ounce  beer container  that is a growing part of the craft beer business.

“Beer in a growler is like milk from the market,” says Dogfish Head Quality Control Manager Rebecca Newman. “Get it home quick, keep it cold, and don’t let it sit around too long. … Did I mention keep it cold?”

Dogfish Head sells growlers at its brewery in in Milton and its restaurant in Reboboth Beach.

Liquor stores in the state have also installed growlers for craft beer fans.
