Cecil College is offering a free chance to “Try a Trade” at 6 p.m. on June 4.
Whether participants are out of work, or just looking for a career change, they will have the opportunity to experience 40 minutes of hands-on instruction or demonstration in their choice of trade. They will learn about the responsibilities of the trade and what jobs are available in the region for each of the selected fields.
Attendees can choose any one of the eight trades being offered at four locations. The options include welding, HVAC or automotive at the Cecil County School of Technology in North East; computer training, accounting or veterinary assistant at Elkton Station; commercial driver’s license at the college’s Bainbridge Center in Port Deposit; or health care careers on Cecil’s North East campus.
Information will be available about funding for specific programs for those who qualify.
You can register at   training4success@cecil.edu
