Dover couple face embezzlement charges

[Not a valid template]A husband and wife have been arrested on charges of embezzling more than $300,000 from a Dover business.

Earlier this month, Dover Police detectives began   investigating  an embezzlement report from Dover Rent-All at 724 West St.

Police found  evidence that that former Dover Rent-All Office manager was Roberta Cook, 42, was writing company checks and using the company credit card for numerous personal expenses and family travel. Checks were written to her husband, William E. Cook Jr., 45.

The investigation determined that transactions dated back back to January of 2010 and totaling more than $300,000

The Cooks Both were arrested at their home in Dover on March 25. Roberta Cook was arraigned and was taken to the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Center in lieu of secured bond. William Cook was released on $39,000 unsecured bond. The investigation continues, police reported.
