Newark resident, 18, linked to 162 graffiti incidents

Newark Police have arrested a local resident following a wave of graffiti vandalism.

Felix  Smith, 18,  was linked to 162 instances of graffiti throughout the city of Newark and the University of  Delaware campus.

Police reported Smith was linked to graffiti in 58 locations in the city and an additional 13 locations on at UD. The scrawling resulted in more than $8,100 in damage.

Smith was arrested on January 10 by members of the Newark Police Department and University of  Delaware Police Department. He was released from custody pending an appearance in Alderman Court #40 in late January.
