Tio Juan’s Margarita’s appears to be moving forward on a restaurant on the Wimingotn Riverfront. The company had earlier indicated that the riverfront was a proposed location for the restaurant.
DelawareOnline.com noted that a posting on Craig’s List was seeking a manager for the restaurant that had been rumored as a candidate for a pad location in the redeveloped area.
No opening date was mentioned. The chain is also planning to open a location in Langhorne, Pa.
The 22-unit chain got its start in New England, also the home of the popular Border Cafe, which has an outpost in Christiana.
The riverfront has seen a burst of activity with the opening of the Penn Cinema theater complex and a hotel currently under construction near the Chase Center on the Riverfront exhibition and meeting area.
