Gunman robs University Plaza WSFS Bank

armedrobbery Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning at the WSFS Bank in University Plaza, southeast of Newark.

At 7:45 a.m., two female employees, were preparing to open the bank. As one of those employees entered the front of the bank, the suspect forced his way through the door and held both employees at gunpoint.

The suspect  demanded money, obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, and forced the employees to lie face down on the floor. He then fled from the bank.

The suspect was described as a  lack male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a dark color coat, jeans, and a mask over the lower portion of his face.

Troopers asking anyone who may have any information in reference to this incident to contact the Robbery Unit at Troop 2 at 302-834-2630 extension 6.
