The nonprofit organization, “Team Jen, Inc.” will hold its first Beef and Beer fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 16 from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Delaware Saegerbund, 49 Salem Church Road, Newark, Del. Team Jen was named in memory of Jennifer Wickersham, who died at the age of 29 in November of 2011 after a four and one-half year battle with breast cancer. The fundraiser supports Team Jen’s mission of providing financial assistance to young adults battling breast cancer in Delaware.
Tickets are $50/person and $90/couple and can be purchased by February 5 online at www.TeamJenInc.com or by contacting Heather Bracken at H.Bracken79@gmail.com. Tickets will not be sold at the door. The event includes dinner, drinks, a silent auction, raffles, music, dancing and door prizes.
“During Jennifer’s journey, she shared her story in an attempt to raise awareness and let other young adults know that you are never too young or healthy to encounter this horrific disease,” said her mother Letty Lynch, the spokesperson for Team Jen. “We want to continue her mission and help others who are battling breast cancer.’
