NewSpiritsGroup.previewDogfish Head has released limited edition spirits with Delaware ingredients.

The brewery blog announced that Delaware Native Spirit, fermented with blueberries from Fifer orchards in Camden, wildflower honey from Bee Natural in Smyrna and a yeast strain isolated in Kent County, made its debut at a dinner at the company’s restaurant in Rehoboth Beach.

“We think this is the first craft-distilled spirit where 100 percent of the ingredients came from within the state where it’s made,” says Dogfish Head   President Sam Calagione.

A limited number of this 80-proof, twice-distilled spirit will be available to-go at the pub for $40 per bottle.

Dogfish Head is also releasing two other spirits – Fortress and Peche Brandy. Fortress,. Peche Brandy is fermented with the same peach juice used in Dogfish Head’s summer seasonal beer, Festina Peche. Fortress and Peche Brandy, also 80 proof, will each cost $30 per bottle.
