New Castle County Police are presently investigating numerous daytime residential burglaries that have been occurring within two townhouse communities in Bear. Over the past several weeks County Police have been investigating daytime burglaries that have occurred within the Amberfield and Briargate communities.

Police are asking those residents living in the aforementioned communities as well as the surrounding communities to keep their doors and windows locked when not home, as unsecured windows and doors are easy access points to burglars attempting to enter residences.

Police also encourage anyone with information regarding these incidents or observe any suspicious persons and/or vehicles in these areas, to contact the New Castle Police at 9-1-1 or through the non-emergency number at 302-573-2800.
