Update: 2 brothers arrested in connection with liquor store robbery

It was a swing and a miss for a liquor store employee who attempted to stop a man taking vodka from  Mr. B’s Wine and Spirits in Dover. Two suspects were later arrested.

Ar about 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, a male suspect entered the store and confronted an employee, implying he had a gun The suspect  removed three bottles of vodka from the display shelf and began to exit the business. As the suspect walked by the sales counter, the employee, armed with a baseball bat, attempted to hit the suspect, but missed.  The suspect then ran from the business on foot with the vodka. There were no injuries,

In the  course of the investigation, Joshua T. Smith, 21 of Camden, and his brother, Dajaniel L. Smith, 20 of Dover were identified  as suspects in this robbery.  Both   were taken into custody without incident at their homes Thursday  morning by detectives.  They were transported back to Troop 3 near Camden and arrested on the above listed charges.  After arraignment at JP2, the two are being held on multiple charges after failing to post bond.
