Book buyer robbed in Newark

Newark Police are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at about 4:15 p.m. on December 11th  at a Lieberman’s book buy back tent on Elkton Road in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings.

The 29-year–old male clerk was working at the tent that buys back used textbooks from students. The two suspects approached the man and one displayed a handgun demanding money.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash,  the pair fled on foot northbound on Elkton Road. The suspects were last seen fleeing under the pedestrian underpass leading to the Rodney dining complex and then northbound parallel to the CSX railroad tracks. The suspects could not be located.

One suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 years old, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and black pants. He was armed with a small black handgun.

Suspect two was described as a white male, 25-years-old, brown or black hair, stocky build, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with horizontal stripes, dark pants, and grey sneakers. There were no injuries.
