Service Unlimited has decided to restructure its  service department in the interest of further improving service operations for contract customers.

In March 2012, Contracting Business Magazine, a leading HVAC trade publication, awarded Service Unlimited the National 2012 Commercial HVAC Contractor of the Year.

Commenting  on the honor,   President Carl Wolf states, “Our goal has always been to wow every customer during each interaction they have with a Service Unlimited employee and now more than ever we need to follow through.”

Following Contracting Business’s announcement, SUI management looked   at the needs and expectations of the contract customer base to clarify the tasks and job titles necessary to maintain their position.

“We need to live up to the standards of quality and excellence our founder built our reputation on and that requires periodic self-examination,” says Vice President Brian Martinenza, Jr. This evaluation and planning process has lasted for over six months and resulted in the repositioning of several employees with a focus on pairing their skills with their assigned tasks to maximize their potential.

Service Unlimited, Inc. promoted Anthony Muscara to Service Operations Manager. Muscara replaces Jeffrey Stimmel, who has been reassigned to a new position titled Service Sales Coordinator. Tony will be responsible for spearheading SUI’s efforts to streamline service operations for its commercial HVAC clients.

He will coordinate the department’s efforts to provide more thorough feedback and communication, to shorten repair completion times, and to raise first call effectiveness. In his position as Service Technician, Muscara was actively involved in providing  service that Service Unlimited customers have come to expect.

As the economy shifted and repair spending was growing, he helped lead the way with strong leadership and highly technical capabilities. Tony brings  more than  10 years of experience in commercial HVAC service, with three were with SUI. He holds certified Journeyperson papers from the State of Delaware in HVAC.

Service Sales Coordinator is a newly developed position that SUI felt best sums up Jeff Stimmel’s ability to communicate with people. He will be able to focus on developing relationships with vendors and providing accurate updates on the status of open projects for customers. He will primarily convert service field estimates to service proposals to resolve customer deficiencies.

Formerly known as, Preventative Maintenance Coordinator, Brian Martinenza, Sr. becomes the Warehouse Material Coordinator. His data entry and database tasks have been supplanted by warehouse management, material tracking, and supply chain logistics. This role will ensure customers orders are on-time and ready for installation as soon as possible.

Additionally, the implementation of a truck inventory control will allow SUI to better respond to service requests that require small parts while saving customers down time and added costs. His organized approach will prove beneficial in expediting the acquisition of all materials for construction, service, and truck inventory, according to the company  Martinenza has been with SUI since 2008.

Additionally, Brian Martinenza, Jr. has been reassigned Vice President & General Manger. He will be responsible for the day to day administration of the business operations providing oversight of the service department and financial activities. Brian’s newly assigned duties will make it possible for Carl Wolf, president, to focus more of his time on marketing activities and sales including maintenance agreements and replacement equipment for the contract customer base.

Service Unlimited, Inc. specializes in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and building automation systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional customers.
