Approval of the table games comes after an intensive lobbying campaign by opponents and foes.  Passage of the question is one more bad piece of news for Delaware casinos that are also struggling with competition from Pennsylvania.

The casino announced it will hold free training for potential dealers.   The Dealer School to begin Monday, January 7, 2013, in association with Anne Arundel Community College.

Of the 1,200 hirings, 800 are expected to come from cable games that will go into operation next year. The school was established to provide qualified applicants with the skills necessary to embark on a career in the gaming industry and, upon graduation, the opportunity to interview for a dealer position at Maryland Live! Casino.

“We have the opportunity to provide long-term careers in the gaming industry to personable, outgoing and professional individuals,” said Robert J. Norton, president of the casino.
