Atlanta man arrested after trooper finds 40 pairs of counterfeit sneakers in car

 Delaware State Police arrested a Georgia man in connection with possession 40 pairs of counterfeit sneakers.

At 3:32 p.m. on Monday, a trooper clocked a car running above the posted speed limit on State Route 1 south of Milford.

The trooper talked to Eric J. Loatman, 30 of Atlanta, who was traveling with a female passenger and saw a large number of boxes in the car. Loatman gave consent to search the vehicle and the trooper discovered 40 pairs of Nike Air Force Ones with the same serial number.

Loatman, who was unable to produce receipts for the merchandise he allegedly purchased in New Jersey, was charged with Trademark Counterfeiting. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail. He was also issued a traffic citation for speeding. The passenger was not charged in this case.
