Books-A-Million opened a new bookstore-media store concept Wednesday at the former Border’s location near Christiana Mall and adjacent to the Delaware Technical and Community College Stanton Campus. It’s the seventh location for the new venture of Books-A-Million, a publicly traded bookseller.
The company, based in Alabama, Wednesday opened 2nd and Charles name. 2nd and Charles buys and sells books, CDs and electronic games. The Borders store was closed after the company failed to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
That strategy has worked well for Game Stop, which dominates the market for buying and selling video games.
