State Police report thefts from unlocked vehicles in Greenville

Delaware State Police are investigating thefts from several unlocked  vehicles in Greenville area during the early morning hours of Oct. 18.

Troopers  learned that one or more suspects have entered unlocked vehicles in the Greenville area.  The suspects stole items from several vehicles, and rummaged through others.  No damage was reported  to the vehicles because they were left unsecured.  In most of these cases the vehicles were parked in the victims’ driveways.

Delaware State Police offered  the following tips:

  • Lock your car doors and roll up you windows
  • Do not leave valuables inside your vehicle
  • Leave outdoor lights on in the driveway or have security lighting installed
  • Report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1.
