A spike in small business lending helped boost employment in the First State.A new report shows the record-breaking number of U-S Small Business Administration backed loans in Delaware for 2012 helped create or retain more than 1700 jobs.
The agency guaranteed $57.7 million in loans for fiscal year 2012, up significantly from the $33 million it backed the previous year.
The loans are from private lenders, but are backed by the government agency.
