MedExpress opens Newark walk-in center

MedExpress,  opened a walk-in facility at 1C Chestnut Hill Plaza,  Newark.

MedExpress now  operates 88 locations nationwide, with centers spanning across Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The company plans to open more centers this year, including three   in Delaware.

To mark the center’s opening, MedExpress will offer free flu shots at the Newark center from October 10 through October 24. According to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a yearly vaccine is the first and most important step in protecting against flu viruses.MedExpress is a full-service, walk-in medical care center, treating patients of all ages for injury and illness, including the flu, asthma attacks, broken bones, cuts requiring stitches and more. MedExpress also offers a variety of medical and preventative care services, like digital x-rays, EKGs, physicals, flu shots, IVs and lab work. There is always a physician on site, supported by a full medical team.

We’re looking forward to introducing the people of Delaware to our patient-focused health care in a warm and welcoming environment,” said Dan Gray, area manager of business operations at MedExpress. “We treat our patients the way we would want our families to be treated and ensure that everyone receives high-quality, affordable care in a timely manner.”

The Newark MedExpress center will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
