The Delaware Book Exchange on Main Street in Newark is expected to close at the end of the month, according to The Review, the University of Delaware’s student newspaper.

The newspaper reported that store officials would not give a reason for the decision. Main Street has a trio of bookstores, with the opening of The Barnes & Noble UD Bookstore.
The store offers textbooks and school gear/ That business has been changing as online books and materials become more widely used and book rentals.
The store is believed to have been affiliated with Neebo, a nationwide textbook retailer. While the Delaware Book Exchange website points to Neebo.com, the store is no longer listed.
Critics of the move of the Barnes and Noble move to Main Street from the UD campus had complained that the store would put pressure on competitors at the new location.
